A one-day festival taking place on 15th May during Mental Health Awareness Week. The purpose of the week is to empower, inspire, educate and support individuals/independent entrepreneurial agencies within the marketing community on the subject of mental health and wellbeing.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
Mental health is an integral and essential component of health. Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realises his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and is able to make a contribution to his or her community. Research from Bupa reveals that mental health has become a boardroom priority for 63% of businesses providing professional services such as marketing, with some 28% of those surveyed saying mental health is now a bigger issue among their employees than physical illness. MAAG are committed to raising awareness, changing peoples perception and arming organisations with the tools to support their employees, resulting in happier workforces and thus less cases of mental health related sickness within the industry as a whole.
