Many of us would like to be able to convey our personality when delivering presentation or talks, but overwhelming nerves and a lack of confidence can prevent this. In this practical seminar we will analyse common vocal problems, and show you ways to overcome them in order for you to deliver your most effective public performance. We will demonstrate simple techniques individuals can use when speaking publicly, presenting in meetings or communicating day to day, to enhance your confidence and allow your personality to shine through. You will leave with simple physical and vocal warms up which can be practiced ahead of any presenting engagement. This session is a sample of the Speaking with Confidence workshop delivered by the Actors Centre.
The Actors Centre is the UK’s leading organisation offering continual professional development for actors throughout their careers. This session will be led by Michael Hill. Michael is a London-based voice coach, singer and freelance BBC broadcaster, with a particular interest in voice science and its practical applications for expressive speaking and singing.
