Prime Minister Watches Marketing 4 StartUp Britain
Through the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA), the marketing industry was the first to step forward and actively support StartUp Britain. Between 4th & 8th July 2011 the MAA ran a free, content packed conference for entrepreneurs and marketers alike.
29 agency presentations, 7 keynote addresses, 7 senior industry chairmen and 1 "Win A Marketing Agency for a Year" competition. All delivered for free.
As part of the update on the progress of the StartUp Britain campaign the above video was presented to the Prime Minister and senior staff at No.10 last month. As well as featuring in this clip, the project gained coverage in the national press, including The Independent, The Mail on Sunday, Stylist magazine and The Telegraph.
The event itself was attended by BBC radio and led to MAA MD, Scott Knox, taking part in Radio 5 live's On The Money programme as the Buniness Doctor, alongside Oxfam CEO, Dame Barbara Stocking.
Since the Marketing 4 StartUp Briatin week the MAA more recently took part in the StartUp Britain national bus tour, advising even more budding UK entrepreneurs.
All of the businesses and speakers behind Marketing 4 Start Up Britain gave their support entirely for free to help Britain's start up entrepreneurs. Without their support this initiative would never have happened. The Marketing Agencies Association and Start Up Britain would like to thank Crown Business Communications, Iris, K&L Gates, The Hospital Club, The Marketing Store, Saatchi & Saatchi X & USP Content.
