EDF Energy reviews below the line advertising account.
EDF Energy is reviewing its below the line advertising account in line with the company's regular agency review process.
The tender process, currently in its very early stages, is scheduled to be completed in March 2011. It is anticipated that a maximum of two agencies will be appointed from the process, one specifically focussed on the B2B market and the other specifically on the B2C market.
The review is being undertaken jointly with the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA). The MAA Agency Selector Service will manage the initial stages of the tender process. The brief does not encompass digital marketing, which is subject to a separate ongoing review, or public relations activity.
Incumbent agency Archibald Ingall Stretton (AIS) has held the EDF Energy below the line advertising account since the last review in 2008, also undertaken jointly with the MAA.
Martin Stead, Marketing Director at EDF Energy said; "It is usual for EDF Energy marketing agency contracts to be reviewed on a regular basis. As part of this process the below the line advertising agency account is due to be tendered for competitive pitch".
Agencies wishing to register their interest in the brief should contact Scott Knox at the MAA (020 7535 3550 / scott.knox@marketingagencies.org.uk).
