The MAA Announces Client Judges for The Best Awards 2012
The Marketing Agencies Association (MAA) has announced 10 client judges that will join the panel for The Best Awards 2012, which celebrates the most innovative and cutting-edge marketing ideas from all disciplines. Simon Tilden, Diageo's Global Category Director of Advertising, Marketing Production & SmartBrand will take on the role of Chairman of the judges, members of which include:

- Marc Michaels, Director of Direct and Relationship Marketing and Evaluation, Central Office of Information
- Russell Morris, Commercial Director, Lovefilm
- Miranda Sambles, Marketing Director, Walkers
- Jo Scott, Global Brand Manager, Berghaus
- Sheridan Thompson, EMEA CRM Director, Disney
Entries for the Best Awards have increased by 7% year on year and agencies that enter represent all facets of marketing and this year include AMV BBDO, Archibald Ingall Stretton, BD Network, Billington Cartmell, DDB, DraftFCB, Elvis, Exposure, Gyro, Iris, LIDA, Ogilvy Action, Profero, RPM, Saatchi & Saatchi X and Wunderman.
The client judging panel is in addition to the creative judging panel, chaired by Alistair Ross, Draftfcb's Head of Ideas, and includes;

The Best Awards, now in its 22nd year, will be held on 1st March 2012 at The Old Brewery, Chiswell Street, EC1. The shortlist will be announced mid January. In 2011 entrants competed to be named as one of the 31 category winners and those that were successful included WCRS, DDB, Publicis Dialog, Elvis, Iris, Archibald Ingall Stretton and Exposure amongst others.
