Why We Have Changed Our Name
On Friday 6th August the Marketing Communications Consultants Association (MCCA) became the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA).
We are still the same association with the same team and will still be offering the same services that we have always done (plus a few more in time). The reason we have decided to change our name is simply to clarify who we are and what we do. Before implementing the name change we carried out research amongst brand owners, journalists, civil servants and many other industry professionals.
We also believe that the name is representative of how the industry has evolved and how the role of the marketing agency has changed as a result. The best agencies are integral, strategic divisions of a brand.

Scott Knox, Managing Director, MAA
"As the diversity of our membership has widened, we have felt a growing need for our name to better reflect who we represent - the best of the UK's marketing agencies across all disciplines. Looking at the evolving media landscape and having surveyed feedback from the industry, this simply feels like the most natural course to take and I'm confident the new name will add greater clarity to our role."
We would appreciate your support during this transitional period by changing the name and logo on your collateral. If you have any questions about the name change please feel free contact Scott at scott.knox@marketingagencies.org.uk.
