<p>To lead multiple teams in the delivery of projects and the achievement of client and internal RPM targets. This is likely to represent revenue of at least £3million. Work will be mainly at a strategic level, involving developing existing client relationships along, as well as new business opportunities along with our Client Service Director. Be an ambassador for RPM and ensure the RPM vision is articulately communicated when talking to colleagues, clients and suppliers.</p>

<p>The Group Account Director's (GAD) primary purpose is to lead the development of a portfolio of clients that represent a profitable income to create the opportunity to produce outstanding work and development opportunities for the whole agency team. The GAD is a leader of people, clients and projects, demonstrating gravitas in everything that they do.</p>

<p>As a senior member of the agency management team, the GAD has a significant influence over the quality of life at RPM and therefore is constantly seeking ways to improve the quality of environment for their team, the quality of work and learning that is created by their team in addition to developing initiatives to grow their income base from their clients.</p>

<br>Specifically this will involve:<br/>
<ul><li>Profitable development of a portfolio of clients ensuring both the short-term needs of the client are met and the long-term opportunities for growth are fulfilled</li>
<li>Manage fee negotiations with clients to deliver satisfaction for both client and agency</li>
<li>Financially own and deliver a profitable income forecast managing margin to deliver against agreed targets, minimise debtors and ensure that team members are being effectively and efficiently deployed to maximise the profit opportunities</li>
<li>Develop strong relationships with all key clients and use this to leverage the opportunities that maximise the value of each client relationship</li>
<li>Encourage innovation throughout the team</li>
<li>Evaluate the quality of our work on a regular basis to ensure that we learn from everything that we do</li></ul>

<li>Support the New Business Team and Client Service Director in the preparation and presentation of pitch documents</li>

<p><br>Fostering good client relationships, including client entertaining when approved by a Board Director or Client Service Director. <br/></p>
<p><br>Commercial and financial focus<br/>
<ul><li>Emphasis on developing responses to briefs and providing strategic direction and marketing input</li>
<li>Take a lead role in the identification and development of business opportunities within existing client organisations</li>
<li>Ensure that the ADs or JADs keep day-to-day control of the financial side of the account management process to ensure that the projects deliver their GP targets</li>
<li>Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to the Client Service Director and Finance Director, working with him on driving the business</li></ul></p>
<p><br>Organising and delivering work<br/>
<ul><li>Manage the business team to deliver projects in line with both client and internal RPM targets</li>
<li>Provide quality evaluation of complete projects </li>
<li>Ensure the company procedures and paper-flow is adhered to at all times</li>
<li>Monitoring project progress to ensure deadlines are met</li></ul></p>
<p><br>Innovation<br/>
<ul><li>Encouraging innovation and creativity within each project; ensuring that they will be realistically deliverable</li>
<li>Focus on making sure the Creative Briefs for your team are clear, concise and motivating to creative teams (by involving/educating the client and/or creative teams)</li></ul></p>

<ul><li>Facilitate change and gain acceptance of such changes within the teams</li></ul></p>
<p><br>Team leadership <br/>
<ul><li>Lead a team, consistently demonstrating a flexibility in style, and an ability to listen that brings out the best in others. Work in partnership with team members to develop their competence and commitment</li>
<li>Oversee the performance of the teams against agreed objectives providing feedback and support to develop skills</li>

<li>Working with the ADs and JADs ensure that staff resource requirements are forecast with adequate lead times to recruit suitable staff</li>
<li>Drive the recruitment process liaising with personnel and internal management to ensure the full procedure is followed</li>
<li>Manage the annual review process and follow up any recommendations on the personal development plan</li></ul></p>

<li>Excellent relationship builder - essential for both internal (team members and inter department relationships) and external relationships (clients across levels - involvement in brand building/ strategy, suppliers, third parties)</li>
<li>Fun, dynamic and young at heart but clearly focussed on the business and professional at all times</li>
<li>Calm and confident</li>
<li>A can do attitude, sense of humour, good communication skills and creative mind</li>
<li>Experience in managing 3 or more people</li>
<li>BTL/SP and Brand experience background</li>
<li>Crucial to have knowledge of trade sectors, proven FMCG experience</li>
<li>Budgetary skills - budget development, maintenance, reconciliation</li>
<li>Mature/ reassuring management/ mentor figure</li>
<li>Experience of managing creative process from concept to finished product</li>
<li>Work across all agency teams/ environment</li>
<li>Minimum of 6 years account management experience</li></ul></p>
