About the Marketing Agencies Association

Welcome to the Marketing Agencies Association

We are the UK’s leading body for future-thinking marketing communications agencies.

The Marketing Agencies Association (MAA) is the trade body for future-thinking marketing communications agencies in Britain.

As a co-operative of the best in British marketing agencies, we exist to support, promote and defend the interests of our member agencies through comprehensive advisory services and platforms. Best practice guidance and consultancy is provided in all areas of business, including training and management development, commercial issues, procurement, legal advice, financial management and new business.

MAA member benefits:

Training Members receive discounted rates for all MAA training, including our renowned Future Leaders Academy and Diploma in Integrated Marketing courses. We’ve also secured government funding for the Diploma that means you will only pay around half of the total. Funding from Creative Skillset means that staff from under-represented groups (women, black & minority ethnic and people with disabilities) will receive up to 80% of training costs.

Content Take advantage of our exclusive content partnership with The Guardian. Write thought leadership articles for our weekly print Guardian column and publish articles on the Guardian’s online Agency Partner Zone to support PR, new-business and marketing efforts. Our head of content and former deputy editor of Campaign, Ian Darby, is available to assist with writing and editing articles. The online hub has received more than 180,000 unique visitors in the last year and readers spend an average dwell time of over four minutes on each visit to the site.

tRetail member agencies are working with the likes of Tesco, Google, Amazon, Not On The High Street and Disney on identifying future trends in the retail environment.

Our “Pitch Watchdog” service and public criticism of clients including Beiersdorf and Premier Foods has led to improvements in the running of several big agency pitches. Members also receive free legal protection.
